From East St. Louis to Edwardsville, scenes from Earth Day in the metro-east

Citizens and organizations across the metro-east celebrated Earth Day on Monday.

The theme of this year’s Earth Day was “Planet vs. Plastics” and encouraged efforts to mitigate the effects of climate change by collecting trash in local communities.
