Duck Runs the NYC Marathon for 3rd Year in a Row and Now Everyone Feels Lazy
It's no secret than, in many cases, having a pet will help you get more active. Whether you're walking a dog, playing with a cat, or walking to and from the barn, you'll be putting in the work while caring for your pet. Of course, you'll be repaid with lots of laughter and unconditional love!
Every now and then, though, an animal gets even more exercise than their owner! One very athletic pet has been taking part in the New York City Marathon for the last three years, and it's not an animal you'd expect to run a marathon, either. It's Wrinkle the pet duck!
This fast and feathered gal has gone viral many times while on adventures with her owner, but none have made her as famous as their NYC marathon appearances. This year she's back--and she's leaving everyone in the dust!
What a friendly duck! Wrinkle seemed unfazed AF by all the people and dogs who surrounded the streets for the race. Clearly, she's been well-socialized, and it sure looks like she's prepared for the marathon, too.

This is @seducktiv's third year in the race, after all! She's equipped with special shoes for her webbed feet and a very mindful owner, so there's no doubt she's safe and comfortable the whole time. If this spoiled pet gets carried part of the way--we'll never tell!
Whatever this running duck's secrets are, she sure has her fans wrapped around her wing. Even the @newyorkbucketlist admitted, "Wrinkle's in better shape than us." No kidding! We'd stand no chance in a 5K race, let alone a marathon, and this brave bird is an absolute trooper. In fact, she may have inspired us to work a little harder at getting in shape again!
