Drink your milk! The Milk Carton Boat Race returns this summer

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Have you ever wanted to captain your own milk carton boat? You can make that dream a reality!

The Royal Rosarian Foundation is accepting applications for the 2024 Milk Carton Boat Race.

The event is on June 23 this year at its usual spot at the Westmoreland Park casting pond.

You can sign up online on the Royal Rosarian website.

Participants have until the event to handcraft their very own watercraft that only floats by means of recycled milk cartons or milk jugs.
