DoorDash driver delivers menstrual pads to customer — along with this sweet gift: ‘So heartwarming’
What a sweet surprise!
A woman claimed that her DoorDash driver bought her a chocolate bar to add to her order of menstrual pads.
The person, who goes by @faeriebites on X, posted a photo of her pads and a Cadbury chocolate bar on the social media site.
She shared the story of the supposed sweet gesture online, thanking her delivery driver for the treat and the sentiment.
“STOOOOP HAHAHA I DIDN’T ORDER THAT CHOCOLATE BAR????” her tweet read. “My dasher paid with his own money for this and I am cryinggggg THANK U ALVIN.”
“It’s so funny too because I really wanted to get something sweet but I couldn’t afford it, couldn’t even afford to get these but I HAD TO and so just I’m blessed with this kindness,” the part-time nanny and artist continued in the thread.
Her post quickly went viral as others commented on the thread to support Alvin’s thoughtfulness.
“Awwww … probably thought you needed it,” someone replied.
“Wow, this is so heartwarming,” another said.
“It’s the little things that truly mean the most this is so sweet,” one X user wrote.
“What a good human, blessings to Alvin!” another commented.
The original poster admitted that the surprise treat “made [her] whole week” and that she has tried to connect with Alvin to thank him but has not yet found him.
However, Alvin isn’t the first person to go above and beyond to keep a DoorDash customer happy and fed.
A George Mason University police sergeant went the extra mile recently when he delivered a food order — on behalf of a driver his department had just arrested.
A vehicle was stopped near police headquarters, where it was determined that the driver had an active felony warrant related to an aggravated assault charge.
“He had been on campus picking up a food delivery item from Panda Express to drop off at a home in the local community,” GMU police said in an emailed statement to Fox Business. “Sergeant Grant, who assisted officers on this stop, spoke to the driver and said he would complete the delivery for him.”
Video released by the university police showed Grant recording the address and fulfilling the unplan mission.
Grant took the food to the address, where the residents recognized him from his community outreach working with local Greek life.
The students were “surprised and happy to see him with their food order,” GMU police said.
