Dog Shows off His Cool New Robot Companion and All It Can Do

If you're a pet parent who works outside of the home all day, you may feel guilty about leaving your fur baby home all alone while you are away. Charli and Hudson Goldens' mom is one of those moms, and so she decided to find a new companion for Hudson, and it's a pretty cool one!

Hudson's mom shared a video on Tuesday, December 30th of a gift that he got for Christmas. It's a GuliGuli Hiibo robot, and something that they can both enjoy. Hiibo moves around and keeps an eye on Hudson...it even dispenses treats. See what else it can do in the video that they shared.

Pretty cool right?! @Hudson's mom can see and hear what he's up to through an app, and she can even talk to Hudson throughout the day. She can also use a built-in camera to take pictures of her golden, which is something parents can never have too many of! It took a while for Hudson to warm up to it, but now he spends his day close to it since Hiibo gives him treats and his mom pops in to say hello!

Technology and Pets

I know a lot of people use Ring cameras to keep an eye on their pets, and many security systems have cameras that can be used to spy on what fur babies are up to during the day. There are GPS tracker collars so you can always locate your pet. There are cool collar cams that your pets can wear so you can see what they do all day from their point of view. There are automatic ball throwers, robotic toys, self-cleaning litter boxes, microchip pet doors that only allow your pets into your home, and so many other cool things out there to help out pet owners.

I thought the idea of a treat dispensing robot was a pretty cool idea, so I thought I'd do a little research on it. You can find Hiibo on Amazon, and it wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be. As of this writing, it's $169.99, and there's a $40 dollar coupon. Pretty good deal! While there weren't a whole lot of reviews written about the product (it seems to be a relatively new one), the majority of the reviews (well over half) were four and five star reviews. It seems like it's worth checking out!

Technology definitely takes spoiling your pet to the next level, but a lot of these items also help keep your pets safe. If I had a dog or cat, I think I'd purchase the Hiibo just so I could let our pet know that we'd be home soon and that we're still watching them. And I think a camera cam would be another cool thing I'd purchase - it would be so fun to see the world from my pet's point of view!
