Dog Parents Share Emotional and Sweet Reminder About Life With Fur Babies
If you have a fur baby or two, you know that sometimes you can get frustrated with them...it just goes with the territory and is a normal feeling to experience. Butters the Corgi's parents admit that it happens to them, and shared a beautiful reminder with us all about how much our pooches add to our lives.
The video was shared at the beginning of March and is full of memories they've shared with Butters over the year. You might want to grab a tissue before you watch it because it just might give you all the feels!
Butters' video brought tears to my eyes! There's so much truth in what they say about our dogs, and the love they feel for us. Butters' paw-rents described it perfectly in their caption, "Dogs make us feel like we hung the sun." All they ever want from us is us...and maybe the occasional treat! Commenter @Saul_Goodman92 really took this video to the gut, "That got to me. Broke me down to tears. Thank you. I needed to hear this today." Lots of emotion in just one video and it really is such a special reminder to us all!

How Dogs Show You Love
As a dog mom or dad, you know that your dog loves you by some of the things that they do. They show you their love a variety of ways, and each of them probably makes you smile and feel loved.
Does your dog ever lean into you? That's one of the ways that they let you know that they love you. It is a source of comfort and security for them, and lets you know that they need you and want to be close to you. Another thing that they do to show you they love you is curl up with their back to you. This lets you know that they trust you and is comfortable with you.
We recently brought home a new puppy, and she loves stealing our socks and slippers. Actually, any clothing that we've worn she wants to take back to her bed! Our scents are very important to them and make them feel secure and safe when they smell them. It's one of the strongest bonds they have with us. Why they want stinky socks may not make sense to us, but to them, it's one of the sweetest smells in the world.
Do you ever catch your dog staring at you for no reason? Well, they're admiring and loving you! Think about it, you stare at your significant other and 'gaze' into each other's eyes (or used to!) and when you do all of that oxytocin (the feel-good hormone) rushes to your brain. The same thing happens to your dog.
We don't deserve dogs! They live to make us happy, and it's their only mission in life. Next time you are frustrated with something they do, watch this video to remind yourself what a special place your fur baby holds in your heart.
