Dog Mom Playing Waitress When Serving Her Huge Brood of Pups Is Absolutely Hilarious

If you're a pet owner, it can really feel like you're their personal servant sometimes. And other times, like at breakfast or dinner, it's kind of like you're their personal waiter. Well one dog mama was really playing up the whole waitress aspect of taking care of her six dogs. As a hilarious video online proves.

Marine corps veteran turned mobile dog grooming business owner Kimberly Caffero must have been cracking up when she noticed her wife giving their many dogs a fine dining experience.

Mealtimes can be tricky. It's already hard enough trying to get your dogs to eat new food, but we can't imagine how hard it is to have to feed six dogs with six different diets all at once. We guess these two have figured out a system, as their video shows.

Carefully the dog mama lowered herself down to the ground with a whole stack of dog bowls balancing in her hands. She then slowly went through each and every dish. We don't know what's more impressive — the fact that Caffero's wife managed to keep all of the orders straight or the fact that all of their dogs waited patiently until their mom allowed them to eat.

"Does everybody have what they ordered?" she asked the group. "Okay!" Which must have been the command word because the group of dogs immediately dug in.

Commenters loved the service at this makeshift "restaurant."

"Every pet owner eventually becomes a pharmacy tech," joked one person, referring to the variety of medications the dogs had stashed amongst their orders. "That table seems like a fun group. Hope you got a good tip!" another commenter joked. "Tell me you were in the service industry without telling me you were in the service industry," a third commenter teased.

Getting Your Dog to Take Its Medication

Clearly these two have managed to have fun with a pretty not-fun task: getting your pup to take its meds. The easiest way to do this is exactly the way that Caffero and her wife did. If your dog takes a pill, tuck it into their food bowl and mix it up with their food. A special treat is probably better than their typical meal — foods like cooked sweet potato, a soft dog treat, or small bits of dog food might entice them to eat.

If your pet doesn't ingest the medicine (some dogs are crafty and will spit pills out!) you might need to distribute the pill directly into their mouth. Make sure you lubricate the pill with a small amount of gravy (nothing too fatty or greasy) so that it will go down the dog's throat easily.

Then gently grasp your pup's muzzle by placing your thumb behind their canine teeth on one side of the upper jaw and your fingers on the other. Tilt your dog's head up and then pushed the pill back into their mouths as far back over the tongue as possible. Be gentle as you do this and make sure you don't go too far back as to trigger your pup's gag reflex. Place your dog's head back in its normal position and then blow on their nose or rub their nose or throat to stimulate their swallow reflex. Make sure you praise your pup — a little encouragement goes a long way!

Hmmm...Maybe the rest of us should try playing "restaurant" every now-and-again too.
