13-Year-Old Blind Dog's Attempt to Steal Food Is the Confidence People Are Here For

There's nothing better than an elderly dog with a disability who won't let either of these things stand in the way of him living his absolute best life.

That's the case with the 13-year-old blind Dachshund that belongs to TikTok user @Charcharbinksdachshund. Watch the following clip to see this little guy just going for it. And by "it" we mean trying to steal food from the pantry.

Oh my gosh, Dachshunds are such smart dogs and one person who knows this is @Rosie who comments, "My blind dachshund figured out how to open the oven at age 12. Smart little buggers." @Ajp adds, "You let him steal what he wants!" @Coach adds, "His hearing works just fine!" LOL! @Owen adds, "He may be blind but his nose still works." We love how his mom asks, What are you doing? You can't have coffee!"

One person thought the exact same thing I did and commented "HEY MA! what's with all the ranch?" To which the video creator replied, "You can’t pass up on Publix BOGO for ranch." LOL too true.

A lot of users want this dog mom to leave Charlie-friendly snacks on a pantry shelf he can reach but Dachshunds have this type of body structure, with a long back and short legs, which can put them at a higher risk of developing weight-related health issues. Too many snackies aren't good for elderly Dachshunds because if they become obese that can lead to back and joint problems.

As cute as these pups are, it's better to stick to scheduled mealtime with a vet-suggested food and feed snacks on occasion. We all wants Charlie to lead an even longer life than he has!
