Do Not Try This At Home: Miranda Kerr Pulls A Carrie Bradshaw

Miranda Kerr went where no woman’s dared go before—inside Carrie Bradshaw’s closet circa season four. Here’s a refresher: Carrie begged Aidan for a second shot, she got it, he proposed, she said yes, and moved the ring from her finger to her neck before eventually giving it back to the handsome furniture designer and saying, “Sorry, I can’t Maui you.” Along the way, she wore a parade of seriously wacky outfits.

Costume designer Patricia Field went max eccentric in the fourth season of the show. Bradshaw hit up the farmers market in a romper, walked Pete in a crop top and terry cloth hot pants, wore that Gucci fanny pack any fashion girl would currently kill for, layered more pearls than ever before seen in one place around her neck, and all the while wore her hair stick straight (or piled into a giant twist atop hear head). But in perhaps the weirdest outfit of the show’s entire run, Field dressed Sarah Jessica Parker’s character in a low-slung full skirt, tied a XOXO blouse around her boobs (over a Hanes tank top), and belted her supremely toned bare abs.

It was a once-in-a-lifetime fashion moment. Or, it should have been.

But then Miranda Kerr went and belted her abs at ELLE’s Women in Hollywood Awards in Los Angeles on Monday Night. Her icy blue Calvin Klein suit featured a slinky bra top and a matching belt over her similarly hardened torso. She wore a red lip and her hair looked cute in a ponytail but no one cared, because she belted her stomach and when you do that, it’s all anyone’s going to talk about.

So twice-in-a-lifetime. But that’s plenty.
