Del Mar Wine & Food Festival coming this fall

DEL MAR, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Sip, socialize and eat in a fun atmosphere, anyone? The Del Mar Wine and Food Festival is returning this year in October.
The six-day festival, which takes place from October 2-7, features an all-star lineup of culinary talent, wine and food experiences, as well as other lifestyle activities.
Headliners for the popular North County event include National Football League legend Drew Brees, soccer star Alex Morgan, pro surfer Rob Machado, the San Diego Padres, San Diego FC and San Diego Wave FC.

Celebrity chefs such as Michael Voltaggio, Aarti Sequeira, Rocco DiSpiritio, Tiffany Faison and Maneet Chauhan expect to make an appearance during the festival. Movie stars Glenn Howerton, Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Kyle Cooke will also be in attendance.
On Oct. 5 and 6, the festival will hold its Grand Tasting that offers bites from celebrity chefs and local restaurants, as well as over 200 wines, beers and spirits.

A portion of the proceeds from Del Mar Wine and Food Festival will be donated to help the food bank Feeding San Diego, the company said.
