Crow Forms Close Bond With 5 Rabbits After Being Rescued by Generous Family

Thanks to the help of several passersby and one generous UK family, Jake the crow is now living his best life with other animal friends. But here's the catch--they're not birds! Instead, Jake has taken up with his family's five rabbits, and he does just about everything with them.

Yorkshire Post explains that Andrew Silverwood brought the baby bird to their Ossett, West York home when Jake was about 2 weeks old. Since then, the pet crow has bonded so closely with the bunnies that he thinks he's one of them!

OMG--that's amazing! Jake fits right in with the family's rabbits: Chester, Bella, Cilla, Marian, and Mary. Where they go, he follows, and where they sleep, he sleeps! The animals' close bond is so heartwarming to witness, but viewers wonder how this unusual animal friendship came to be.

As it turns out, Andrew wasn't the one to find the injured bird. A good samaritan noticed Jake after he had fallen from the nest. He could not get back to his parents, so the passerby posted in a local Facebook group asking about rescue options. That's when Andrew decided to rescue him.

Although Jake was only supposed to stay with the Silverwoods to recover, he became a true family member after forming close bonds with the family's rabbits. He might have even imprinted on them!

"He really does think he's a rabbit," Andrew told The Yorkshire Post. "The rabbits have accepted Jake as one of their own. He is so funny, he hops around with them. Jake has taken on the characteristics of the rabbits, and we know when he wants a feeding because he lets out a big squawk." That's too cute! This rescued bird is definitely learning from his new family, and now that he's grown up, he fits right in.
