Crested Butte Now Fully Open For The Season

In a much-anticipated terrain update from Crested Butte in Colorodo, resort officials announced that "as a holiday gift from our Mountain Ops teams, we are so excited to announce that both the Gold Link Lift & the Prospect Lift are now spinning for the season!!"

"That brings us to over 900 acres of skiing & riding and more than 300 additional acres that were opened up this weekend."

"Every lift is now spinning aside from the t-bars. Get out there and enjoy your holiday weekend laps and the fresh snow!"

What's with the t-bar hate? Always good to pay respect to the OGs of the mountain, and the humble, yet vital, way of getting uphill when it's too windy (besides skinning up, of course)!

To some (think: skiers at Whistler Blackcomb, anywhere in Maine, many areas of California) this may sound like a cruel joke, but Crested Butte currently has a base depth of 31 inches.

In the last week, Crested Butte saw 4 inches.

They've already gotten 95 inches this season!

But to those in Colorado, this season has been non-stop rock and roll... or, should we say, no rocks....

And now, Crested Butte is completely open (except for the t-bars). Who needs those, anyway.
