Corgi's Guilty Smirk After Locking the Cat in His Crate Is Just Too Good

When it comes to mischievous pets, you never quite know what you're going to witness. Even the most predictable troublemakers have a trick or two up their sleeves, and just about any dog, cat, or other small critter can catch you by surprise. I know I've been there!

I will never forget the one time my mostly well-mannered Husky (who never steals food off of a plate or table) scarfed down two entire chicken breasts in a matter of seconds. In the moment, it was shocking, to say the least, but looking back, all I can do is laugh about it!

I'm sure Midwestern pet parent Tiffany feels similarly about her silly animals. Earlier this year, naughty Corgi Wayne succeeded in trapping the cat in a crate! Luckily, Tiffany caught the priceless moment on film, and over a million people have enjoyed this sibling rivalry.

LOL! The first time I watched this video, I was certain it was a well-timed accident, but now I'm not so sure! Wayne the Corgi dog is watching his victim--I mean, his sibling--so intently from outside of the crate, and he doesn't seem shocked or spooked by the swinging door. If you ask me, all signs are pointing to an inside job!

And then, this adorable dog's guilty face confirms it. Wayne's smirk tells the entire story, though the look of hatred on the gray and white cat's face is very telling, also. If there was any doubt at all about what happened, dog and cat owner Tiffany narrates it, too. If only she had gotten her camera out just a few seconds earlier!

Can Dogs and Cats Get Along?

Even though these two may have taken their sibling rivalry a bit too far, it's not uncommon to see dogs and cats getting along just fine in the same household. Some fur siblings prefer to ignore one another while others will seek each other out to cuddle or play--whatever works!

The best way to set everyone up for success is by carefully introducing your cat and dog. When the time comes, you can let them each sniff a blanket or clothing item that belonged to the other so their scents aren't as unfamiliar. Then, letting them say hello in a separated area (like on both sides of a fence or dog gate) can give both animals space while giving them the chance to meet. This is only the first step, of course, but some time, patience, and love will ensure everyone gets along swimmingly.
