Porsche 911
“Original 911 whale tail.”
Let’s get the obvious suggestions out the way early on. In the mid-‘70s, the ‘Ducktail’ wing on Porsche’s 911 morphed into this majestic creation, the ‘Whale Tail’. You can’t help but love it.

Dodge Charger Daytona
“Charger Daytona/Plymouth Superbird, the height of wing audacity.”
Another popular, obvious and excellent suggestion is the Dodge Charger Daytona or the Plymouth Superbird, whichever version you’re feeling on this fine day. An excellent Little Wing.

Lamborghini Countach
“My first and second choices were taken. But I think there is a good third choice.
“Because it is only there to be cool. It slows the car down and messes with the aerodynamic balance.
“BUT... it is cool and very iconic.”
The massive rear wing on the back of the Lamborghini Countach was famously all about the look. It did nothing to improve the performance of the Italian supercar.

“There are so many iconic ones that as soon as you see them, you know what they are like the Sierra RS500 Cosworth, 190E Evo and the Charger Daytona.
“However, my favorite wing ever is probably the F40 because it spawned an entire movement of aftermarket wings back in the 90's and every time you saw a car with one, you literally called it ‘an F40 wing’.”
A wing you could eat your dinner off of, the Ferrari F40's rear end is iconic.

“The Lotus Esprit V8 wing. It shouldn’t look this good, being a curvy wing on a pretty angular car... but it just works.”
From one red supercar to another, this time it’s the Lotus Esprit. This British icon proved that angles and curves can live together in harmony.

“The organic-ness of the stock 3rd gen RX-7 wing. My ‘95 did not have one from the factory but I bought one to install, discovered the rare Mazdaspeed wing, bought one of those before I installed the stock one, and now thinking I will go with the factory one after all.”

Lexus RC-F
“I think the single-piece carbon fiber wing (with the F logo somehow integrated into the weave) on the RC-F Track Edition is one of the most beautiful pieces of aerodynamics fitted to any car ever.”
Big wing equals big performance, that’s how it works. If so, this RC-F should be a stone-cold stunner on the track.

Pontiac Sunfire
“I always liked the unconventional spoiler of the Pontiac Sunfire and Dodge Stealth mounted high on the trunk lid towards the rear window. Although perhaps not the most functional aerodynamically, it was unique and cool in a 90's kitsch kind of way.”
Blink and you’ll miss this small, yet mighty, little wing on the back of this Pontiac.
