These cool cocktails in Topeka will take some of the heat out of the approaching summer

The perfect summer drink is one that has a balance between acidity and sweetness.

That's the advice of Chad Royer, the kitchen manager at Norseman Brewing Lakeheim. Royer said a drink with an addition gives it something special in terms of appearance and taste.

"We've got a couple of different drinks," Royer told The Capital-Journal. "Sometimes you get some cucumber or coconut, mint or eucalyptus. A lot of those things are very cooling."

As temperatures rise and days march toward summer in Kansas, so does the need for a refreshing summer drink. So, whether it be a cocktail or a mocktail, we rounded up cold drinks that you, family and friends can enjoy this summer.

They all can be purchased in the capital city and range from $6 to $13.
