Concho Valley Farmers Market opens for summer season

SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — With the arrival of warm weather, the Concho Valley Farmers Market has kicked off its summer season, offering fresh produce three days a week. Shoppers can visit the market on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the pavilion across from Fort Concho.

Customers can choose from a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, including bright red tomatoes, squash, and onions. Margie Jackson, president and market manager, highlighted the benefits of weekday visits.

“Just to let everybody know, when we are here during the week, you get a better choice of the vegetables because Saturdays we are slammed,” Jackson said. “We have 32 stalls, all taken with produce. We have a few arts and crafts, but they sell produce with that. We are a real farmers market.”

The Concho Valley Farmers Market will remain open through the summer and fall until the first freeze.
