Community Spotlight: 4th Annual Soda Fest in Mahomet

MAHOMET, Ill. (WCIA) — Soda, pop, cola, soft drink — whatever you call it, Mahomet will have it at their fourth annual Soda Fest this June.

For Wednesday’s Community Spotlight, Jenny Cougill from the Mahomet Area Chamber of Commerce spoke with WCIA 3’s Matthew White about the free, family-friendly event.

‘It really is something way beyond a street-scape’: $2 million dollar Mahomet upgrade approved

It will take place on Saturday, June 8 at 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in downtown Mahomet. There will be more than 100 sodas available to sample or purchase, making for a refreshing way to beat the summer heat. The event also includes children’s activities, food trucks, live music, and local vendors.

Soda-tasting tickets can be purchased at the festival.
