Cockatoo Enjoying the Rain at the Indianapolis Zoo Is a Breath of Fresh Air

Do you enjoy rainy days and dancing in the rain? Many of us do, and apparently some animals do as well! The Indianapolis Zoo shared a video in October of one of their umbrella cockatoos named Rainy (whose name definitely fits the mood!) enjoying the rain and cooler weather.

Rainy is on a branch outside and it looks like it's pouring rain, but that doesn't bother the pretty bird one bit! The bird is dancing and flapping its wings, and even chatting away. At one point, he even shakes his tail feathers!

I could watch @Indianapolis Zoo's video over and over all day! Even though it looks kind of grey and dreary outside, the happy bird dancing in the rain and enjoying the fall weather totally made my day!

There were only a few comments left and the video didn't get many views which is a bummer because I think people would love it if it hit their For You page. @Lisacultjam71 said, "Happy showers!!!" @Hulda Jordan added, "Hello beauty!" Rainy certainly is a very pretty and chatty parrot!

@amayaaa! shared, "I was planning on coming today but it rainedddd..." My family and I lived just south of the zoo for about three years, and I love the Indy zoo! It isn't as big as the San Diego Zoo and there's not as much to see, but their orangutan exhibit is phenomenal! You can mingle with and feed the flamingos which both kids and adults love. They also let the parrots fly free back to their enclosures at certain times during the day, and it's definitely something to see. If you ever get a chance to visit, make sure you do - it's absolutely worth spending the afternoon there!
