City to hold free bulky item drop-off
The city of Bakersfield will hold a free pop-up bulky item drop-off from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at 15050 Stockdale Highway.
This is for items that are too large for residential trash bins — but be ready to unload items yourself.
You can drop off furniture, mattresses, box springs, major appliances, electronics (such as TVs, monitors, computers and printers), water heaters and barbecue grills, but no propane tanks.
Not accepted: Construction materials and debris including concrete, any item with refrigerant (such as air conditioning units and refrigerators), items weighing more than 300 pounds, household hazardous waste, liquid waste and hazardous materials.
