Christina Hall Thinks This Flooring Style Is Going to Be the Most Popular Trend in 2024—Exclusive!

Say goodbye to grays and welcome the warmer shades in 2024. Christina Hall is seeing a trend towards warmer browns when it comes to flooring this year.
"We're kind of going back towards more of the warmer colors," the design expert tells Parade in an exclusive interview. "We went through a phase where there was a lot of grays about 10 years ago, and then everything became more like whitewashed, like white oaks, more natural colors. And now, I'm seeing the trend back to more of the warmer browns."

Hall is in the process of developing an array of new colors for her very own flooring line, The Christina Collection, which she launched in 2021. "These colors are all amazing, but I like freshening things up too," she shares, revealing that she plans to "add a bit more of the warm tones."

As of late, Camelback and Pikes Peak have been the most popular styles from her family-friendly line of "timeless" warm colors.

Speaking of popular trends, many homeowners are wondering what they can do to make their house stand out in a listing, or help them to get the most money in a sale.
Hall notes that clean, neutral styles can increase property value. "Say you have some carpet that's not looking so hot, I highly recommend replacing that," the Christina on the Coast star suggests. "When you walk into a house and you see that carpet that's looking very dated and dirty, I feel like that's a big turnoff. And wild paint colors [are] also very distracting for buyers."

The HGTV star warns against "excessive color" in your home and recommends "consistency."
"I like sticking with the same flooring throughout bedrooms, throughout the whole house, besides bathrooms, laundry room, stuff like that," Hall explains. "I like consistency. I feel like it makes houses look bigger."
Then, to add some personality, Hall encourages the use of rugs "because those are affordable and easy to switch out."
"All [of] our rooms have rugs because that adds a pop too, you know," she continues. "It doesn't feel so boring."
