Christie Brinkley is one proud mama!
The model and mother of three took the opportunity to totally gush over her oldest daughter, 37-year-old Alexa Ray Joel, whom she shares with "Only the Good Die Young" singer Billy Joel.
Alexa Ray, who is following in the footsteps of her father, performed during the 30th-anniversary show of Rockers on Broadway at New York City's Sony Hall on Oct. 17, a charity event benefiting music and arts education.
She sang "I'm the Only One" by Melissa Etheridge, who was honored during the evening with a Lifetime Achievement Award. In a video of the set uploaded to Instagram by her mother, she belts her heart out to the delight of the audience, who whoop and cheer for her, leading her to wave shyly before letting out the final line.
"Sound on! 🎶," Brinkley announced immediately in the caption of the post. "My night-blooming daughter Alexa Ray performed last night for the Annual ‘Rockers On Broadway’ in NYC to benefit children’s music education. 💜 It was also honoring the amazing Melissa Etheridge who has a hit show on Broadway right now."
She continued, "The entire evening was a JOY! Here’s a little taste of my baby grand. 🌝 #proudmom."
Brinkley wasn't the only one enthralled by the performance, with her followers showering the clip with comments of shock and awe.
"You should be beaming with pride!! She Is unbelievable 💜," one wrote, while another agreed, "You and Billy must be so proud❤️👏🔥."
