Kevin Bacon was the envy of many Billy Joel fans, joining the legendary artist onstage at New York City's Madison Square Garden.

On Aug. 30, the Footloose star shared footage from the concert on Instagram, showing the moment where Joel announced Bacon would be taking the stage to sing and play "The Entertainer" on acoustic guitar. The montage also featured a snippet of Bacon's duet with Joel for a rendition of "You May Be Right."

The 65-year-old captioned his post, "Last night I joined @billyjoel on stage at @thegarden for one of the most crazy, out-of-body experiences. Thank you to Billy, his team, and his fans for a fun night."

Fans were just as ecstatic over Bacon's unbelievable opportunity as the actor himself.

"This is incredible!! I truly look forward to your Monday blues every week. You’ve helped me discover and appreciate so many artists. I stuck in the 70’s because of my folks! You’ve got great music yourself sir. How fun this must have been! And at the garden? Bucket. List. 🙏🏻," shared a fan.

Someone else wrote, "This is all I need in life. My absolute TWO FAVS sharing a stage!"

A fan who was in attendance at the concert commented, "My wife and I were there last night! U were great on The Entertainer….and singing backup on You may be Right! Great job."

Fellow celebrities were impressed, too. "LOVED seeing a clip of you someone sent me this morning!! You ARE the Entertainer, KB!🙌," wrote The Sopranos alum Matthew Del Negro, quipping in a different comment, "Usually you play with the goats. Now, you've played with The GOAT! @billyjoel."

2 Dope Queens star Phoebe Robinson commented, "Holy s--t! This is incredible! 🔥🔥🔥."
