The 2023 CMA Awards brought the star power, but it was Chris Stapleton alone that left viewers starstruck.

The country crooner performed his hit song, "White Horse," during the major awards show on Wednesday, Nov. 8, and it didn't take long for fans to applaud his pitch perfect presentation. As Stapleton's performance came to a close, those tuning into the 57th Annual CMA Awards—which took place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee—flocked to social media to sing the artist's praises.

One fan pondered on X (formerly Twitter), "Does Chris Stapleton have the best voice of any male country singer in history?"

Another chimed in with, "Chris Stapleton is on a whole other level. That voice pulls you right in. #CMAawards"

However, a third fan put it best when they wrote, "Chris Stapleton NEVER disappoints!!! A voice straight from Heaven; it reaches the SOUL. #CMAawards."

The love for Stapleton wasn't necessarily surprising, as, heading into the evening, the superstar was up for three awards. Specifically, Stapleton was nominated for Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Musical Event of the Year.

Nonetheless, Stapleton wasn't the only big performer during country's biggest night. Other big names who took the stage in Nashville were Lainey Wilson, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, Dan + Shay, Jelly Roll, and Old Dominion. Even the evening's co-host Luke Bryan performed a medley of his greatest hits.

Another moving moment from the night came during the musical tribute for Jimmy Buffett, who passed away in September at the age of 76 after a battle with an aggressive type of skin cancer.

For those who missed it, Alan Jackson, Mac McAnally, Kenny Chesney and the Zac Brown Band all paid homage to the legendary crooner during the CMA Awards.
