This year's Burning Man festival turned into a disaster after heavy rainfall flooded the Black Rock Desert in Nevada this past weekend. Because of the rain, many were left stranded as the weather left people unable to get in or out.

The popular festival often has big-name visitors, and this year, DJ and music producer Diplo and comedian Chris Rock were just two of the many people stuck there.

Luckily, Diplo and Rock ran into a kind fan who helped them escape the muddy disaster with their pickup truck, as the former shared the strange experience on social media.

Diplo updated fans on Instagram with a video, captioning it, "I legit walked the side of the road for hours with my thumb out cuz i have a show in dc tonight and didnt want to let yall down."

He added, "Also shoutout to this guy for making the smart purchase of a truck not knowing it was for this exact moment ❤️."

In the clip, Diplo speeds away from the Black Rock Desert along with a group of other people, including Rock, who can be seen wearing a New York bomber jacket and baseball cap. He wrote about the video, "A fan offered Chris rock and I a ride out of burning man in the back of a pick up."

"After walking 6 miles through the mud...all Chris could think about was a f---ing cold brew," added Diplo, with a clip showing Rock sitting in the truck lamenting his lack of coffee. Everyone sitting around laughs at Rock's commentary as the actor provides entertainment for fellow guests fleeing the festival.

A fan joked in the comments, "Nobody gon believe em when he tells this story at the bar 'Yea Diplo AND Chris Rock surrrrre👌'"

"Absolutely wild and iconic at the same time," said another.

After the flooding at Burning Man, authorities told guests to conserve water, food and fuel while sheltering in place as they waited for the rain to calm down. One person has died, although authorities have not released any details regarding the death and investigation.

“We do not currently have an estimated time for the roads to be dry enough for RVs or vehicles to navigate safely,” said the festival's organizers in a statement on Saturday via CNN. "Monday late in the day would be possible if weather conditions are in our favor. It could be sooner.”
