Chris Rock Mocks Will Smith, Megan Markle in Netflix Special

'Chris Rock: Selective Outrage' touches on a range of high-profile topics.

Chris Rock is back with a new comedy special called Chris Rock: Selective Outrage, which Netflix streamed on the platform while the comedian performed live at the Hippodrome Theater in Baltimore, Maryland, last night.

The show was highly anticipated for many reasons, with one being that Rock still hadn't really revealed his thoughts on the infamous Oscars slap from Will Smith that occurred in early 2022.

And Rock did not shy away from the topic in the new special, slamming Smith for his "selective outrage" while also taking on other issues like Meghan Markle and the royals.

In the new special, Rock waits until the end of the show to address the Smith family and the Oscar slap.

He mentioned being slapped by Smith last year, saying that people still ask him, "Did it hurt?" Rock responded, "It still hurts! I got 'Summertime' ringing in my ears."

Rock continued, "But I'm not a victim, baby. You will never see me on Oprah, or Gayle [King], crying. You will never see it. Never gonna happen!"

He said that after the slap, he watched Emancipation "just to see [Smith] get whooped," referring to the 1860s-set film in which Smith plays a man on the run from his slavers.

The 58-year-old comedian joked about the size difference between himself and Smith, 54, noting, "Will Smith does movies with his shirt off. You've never seen me do a movie with my shirt off. If I'm in a movie getting open heart surgery, I got on a sweater."

He even took aim at Smith's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, poking fun at how the couple discussed their marital issues and cheating allegations on Red Table Talk, with Rock commenting, "She hurt him way more than he hurt me."

Along with the Smiths, Rock mocked Markle for "complaining" about the royal family and the treatment she endured after marrying Prince Harry.

He called the royal family "the original racists. They invented colonialism," as he argued that Markle should've known that she would experience racism from the family and Britain.

Rock added, "Some of the shit she went through was not racism, it was just some in-law s–t."

Overall, it's safe to say that Rock did not hold back during the comedy special, later touching on abortion rights, relationships, and more. Chris Rock: Selective Outrage, which is around an hour and 10 minutes long, is now available to stream on Netflix.
