Chipotle Finally Brings Back Heavily-Requested Menu Item

Chipotle lovers, your prayers have been answered.

The Mexican-inspired restaurant is finally giving the people what they have been waiting for with the return of the Chicken al Pastor, one of the chain's most popular menu items.

The tasty protein option that fans can't get enough of will be available for a limited time in Chipotle restaurants across North America, the UK and Europe. The Chicken al Pastor is made with fresh chicken, a rich marinade of seared morita peppers and ground achiote, balanced with a splash of pineapple and finished with fresh lime and hand-chopped cilantro.

Ever since it debuted on the Chipotle menu in March 2023, the Chicken al Pastor has received three times more requests on social media than any other limited-time offering, according to the brand.

Fans have gone to new lengths to express how much they wanted the Chicken al Pastor back—including some social media users who said they would name their firstborn children after the delicious, flavor-filled protein, as long as it makes a return to menus.

And now, the comeback moment is finally here.

As an ode to all the loyal fans who patiently awaited the return, Chipotle is also releasing the most ordered Chicken al Pastor burrito bowl of 2023, which consists of white rice, black beans, fresh tomato salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, cheese and guacamole.

This bowl, and any other creations with the Chicken al Pastor will be available to order on the Chipotle app and online in the U.S. and Canada.

Plus, Chipotle lovers can enjoy $0 delivery fee from March 14-24 on all Chicken al Pastor orders placed via the Chipotle app and online in the U.S. and Canada.
