Chelsea Clinton stands up to online bullies comparing her to Howdy Doody

Just a week after killing a Twitter troll with kindness after he insulted her physical appearance, Chelsea Clinton is having to fend off more online bullies.

The 38-year-old daughter of Bill and Hillary Clinton once again took the high road when a cyberbully tweeted that she looked like Howdy Doody, the freckled marionette puppet who had his own children’s TV show from 1947 to 1960.

An anonymous Twitter account posted a photo of Clinton with the puppet’s face covering her own.

Undeterred, the former first daughter responded with a message thanking the troll and drawing attention to Howdy Doody’s own experience in standing up to bullies.

Thousands of fans praised Clinton for her dignified response — including Stormy Daniels‘s lawyer, Michael Avenatti, who called it “one of my favorite tweets of all time.”

Unfortunately, it didn’t stop the negative comments about her looks. Clinton fended off two more attacks before calling it a day.

What can we say? Thinly masked sarcasm and the refusal to go low win every time.
