Chase Stokes

From the Outer Banks to the city that never sleeps? Chase Stokes would love to venture into Olivia Benson's world with an appearance on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

"I would absolutely die to do a cameo on SVU," the Netflix star told Parade in an exclusive new interview. "I think it would be so fun."

"To work with Mariska [Hargitay], that would be iconic," he added.

In fact, watching Hargitay in Law & Order has become a nightly ritual for the Outer Banks star and his girlfriend, Kelsea Ballerini. "Our big thing lately has been Law & Order. We are big Law & Order: SVU fans, so Mariska is the head of this household," Stokes revealed. "Usually at the end of the day, we'll turn on a little Law & Order and hang out on the couch, and usually fall asleep two episodes in and wake up being like, 'Oh my God, we should venture from the couch to the bedroom. That's our nightly routine."

Hargitay, who has been playing Olivia Benson on the drama series since 1999, is something of an inspiration to Stokes. "I think just the way that she navigated that show and the ways that she has sort of gone from being in front of the camera to being an executive producer, that is absolutely something for me that I am actively doing and want to continue to do, and I think that she has really helped that show grow in a different way," Stokes said. "So yeah, she's a huge influence. And just an absolute powerhouse and somebody who I really, really respect."

Stokes, who's currently in the last months of filming Outer Banks Season 4, was on hand to support his partnership with ZYRTEC and the brand’s "Pet Pawsitivity Walk Challenge,” which encourages individuals to log walks into the WoofTrax App to earn donations for Mutual Rescue. Naturally, talk turned to Stokes' own dog, Milo, a 100-pound Golden Retriever/German Shepherd mix who's grown up on the set of his dad's TV show.

“I got him during [the] second season and he was like five weeks old,” Stokes shared. “Some of the crew members who have dogs, they've all kind of grown up together. So it's a very cute thing to look around and see dogs that were all puppies and peeing wherever they wanted to now frolicking and playing.”

As for what Outer Banks fans can expect from the forthcoming season, Stokes couldn’t say much. “I would love to tell you, but I just can't, you know, it's too close to the sun,” he said. “But I do think that this is a really big season and it has all of the things that the fans love about the show.”
