Proxi offers a nightly inventive culinary journey curated by Chef/Partner Andrew Zimmerman. Inspired by global street food, Zimmerman and his team bring the energy of night markets and street vendors, mixed with the soul of Chicago. From the bustling streets of Asia to the colorful markets of Mexico, each dish on Proxi's menu has a culinary element of a distinct travel destination, meshed with Michigan Avenue and Cubs Baseball. Their wine program is headed by Alex Ring, Michelin Sommelier of the Year in 2023. With a focus on wines made by female winemakers and individuals with non-traditional wine backgrounds, there are countless stories to be told tableside.

“For me, wine is as much about people as it is about what's in the glass. It doesn't matter how much someone knows about wine — we all bring our own unique personal experiences and intuitions to the table, and I love to celebrate that!" says Alex Ring, Wine Director of Proxi, remarking on his wine philosophy. "My goal as a sommelier is to offer an approachable presence, encourage people to be open to new experiences, and make sure everyone is having a great time.
