Cat Tries To Steal Freshly-Baked Cookies Like a Real-Life Cookie Monster
If you've ever owned a cat or currently own one, you'd know that cats are known for their diverse temperaments and personalities, and each cat is unique. While some cats are shy and quiet, others can be the exact opposite.
Meet Hammy the cat, who fits the latter description, as you can see in this video, posted on September 16.

He's a sneaky cat, this one!
As you can see in the video, Hammy got himself quite comfortable on the chair next to the table with the tray of warm cookies. So he crouched low, channeling his inner Cookie Monster, ready to pounce.
He was like, "Yum! C-O-O-K-I-E-S!
Hammy had probably seen enough Sesame Street to know how this was supposed to go.
With lightning-quick reflexes, he reached out one paw, attempting to snatch a cookie from the tray.
And he got lucky!
Cats are known for their playful and mischievous nature, so this is no surprise. Their curiosity and adventurous spirit can lead them to engage in various mischievous behaviors that might not always be destructive but can be amusing or slightly troublesome for their owners.
Activities such as knocking objects off tables, shelves, or countertops are done out of curiosity or playfulness, and it can be entertaining for them.
Or cats might steal small items like pens, hair ties, or toys and hide them in their favorite hiding spots, such as under the couch or behind furniture.
And in rare cases, some cats might try to snatch food such as cookies, just like Hammy here, from your plate or the tray.
This, of course, all depends on the individual cat's breed, temperament, and personality, as each cat is unique in its own way.
Hammy sure is a special one.
