Cat Who Can't Get Enough of the Shower Is Clearly a Human in Disguise

We don't know if you've ever heard this before, but cats and water? Yeah, they just don't mix. Or that's at least what we've been lead to believe in the past. After seeing video of Pym, the sweetest little kitty who is known for her love of the shower, we're not sure what to believe.

Pym started the new year off right by getting clean, or "soggy" as her mama jokingly calls it, in a nice shower on January 1.

Not only is Pym cool as a cucumber under the shower head's stream, she really seems to love it too! She even points her head up and under the spray. This is one happy girl! Look at her sitting on the floor and trying to snatch the water droplets in her mouth. See? Pym isn't just okay with water, she's absolutely thriving in it.

At the end of her shower her mama wrapped her up in a pint-sized bathrobe. Hand her a cellphone and she'd look just like the rest of us do when we sit on our bed in a towel to scroll after getting out of the tub.

Why Cats Typically Hate Water

Of course, there is a reason why we all believe that cats don't like water. Animal behaviorists aren't exactly sure why most domestic cats hate getting wet, but they do have theories.

One theory is that felines evolved in arid desert climates, where they weren't exposed to rivers, lakes and rain. Thus making them unfamiliar with water and now they fear it. Compare that to dogs, who not only love water, but are many times trained to work in it. Such a difference!

Another theory is that water can make a cat's coat very heavy and unmanageable. That heavy fur coat can make cats uncomfortable and takes a long time dry.

Cats Clean Themselves

If you're stressing about how in the world to get your cat clean, there's no need to worry. Cats spend most of their day meticulously licking themselves and are usually pretty clean because of it. In fact, cats spend about a third of their day cleaning themselves. Which when you think about it is a heck of a lot longer than most humans.

Pym is obviously the exception to the rule. As many people in the comments section noted themselves. "Unbothered, moisturized, hydrated, in her lane," joked one woman. "Came for the soggy cat, stayed for the ear pop," someone else teased. "She knows what luxury feels like. The other felines are missing out," a third person joked.

Yep, it seems like Pym's got it all figured out.
