Castle alum Susan Sullivan has some fantastic news to share following the recent revelation of her lung cancer battle.

Shortly after posting about a "successful" surgery undergone to treat the ailment, Sullivan, 80, has confirmed that she is officially cancer-free.

In a post made on Twitter late in the evening of Oct. 18, she addressed the "friends who have made this journey with me," affirming how important it is to have people by your side. "Wanted to share...I am cancer free!"

"Takes a family of friends and if you’re really lucky a good man," she emphasized, going on to thank her long-term partner Dr. Connell Cowan.

The veteran actress revealed to her fans on Twitter on Oct. 16 that she had recently suffered one of "life‘s surprising little turns" when she uploaded a photo of herself draped in a hospital gown and slipper socks standing at the foot of a hospital bed.

She held onto an oxygen rack, assumedly for stability, as well as an IV pole, with multiple bags connected through a pump to the catheter in her right forearm. She also seemed to have a chest tube, which helps to drain air or fluids from the space between the lungs and chest wall typically following infections or trauma.

At the time she didn't specify what had led to her hospitalization, but after followers flooded her replies with love and concern she added the next day that she was in recovery following a successful surgery to treat lung cancer.
