In what might be the most Parisian collaboration ever, Parisian fragrance brand Diptyque partnered with Parisian institution Café Verlet for a limited-edition collection that includes four candles: Café (Coffee), Biscuit (Cookie), Chantilly (Whipped Cream) and Fruits Confits (Candied Fruit).

While there's honestly not a bad one in the bunch, the standout to me is Café: I love the smell of a good cup of brewed coffee, but what got me about this candle is that it's surprisingly layered. In addition to, yes, notes of rich, strong espresso, it's laced with curiously spicy accents (think: cinnamon and nutmeg). It's not at all sweet, though, and it doesn't evoke the holiday season, like so many "spiced" scents might. It's cozy and dreamy, and makes me want to curl up and read a book all day to ward off all feelings of ennui. Très français, non?

The holder also features whimsical illustrations of coffee cups and beans by artist Clym Evernden, for a dose of playfulness.
