Candace Cameron Bure Opens Up About the 'Pressure' of Ozempic Craze

Candace Cameron Bure is speaking out about the current frenzy around Ozempic, which she candidly admitted even gets to her sometimes.
During a recent podcast appearance, the Fuller House star opened up about what she called the "Ozempic craze," as it seems more and more people have been using the diabetes medication to help them lose significant amounts of weight.
While Cameron Bure insisted she has no plans to go on Ozempic, she couldn't help but confess that sometimes the idea has creeped into her brain.
"I am not going on Ozempic," she prefaced on the Feb. 13 episode of the Relatable with Allie Beth Stuckey podcast. "But there are things that go through my mind because the standard is so high and I'm in front of the camera all day."
The 47-year-old actress, who has been in Hollywood since she was just a young girl working on Full House, has long dealt with body image issues, and even opened up about battling bulimia during her younger years.
"The pressure is so ingrained," she continued during the podcast conversation. "A lot of the pressure just comes from myself because I've grown up in it and I don't always know how to not feel that pressure."
Cameron Bure went on to explain that she has "done a lot of work" on her own body image throughout her life, especially after being "very public and open about having an eating disorder."
But even though she said her battle with bulimia has been under control for about the last 20 years, she still sometimes struggles.
"These are like the crazy thoughts that go through my head and they're so dumb and they're so unrealistic and I hate that I have them," she stated. "But the fact is I do."
That's why Cameron Bure finds it important to talk honestly about it, adding, "the more I just share it and am open about it, it frees me from it because I can hear myself say it out loud and realize this is not what life is all about."
