Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile Launches Worldwide for iOS and Android

After months of limited beta releases, Activision's Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is now available globally for iOS and Android.

Coming four years after the original Warzone launched on console and PC – and defined lockdown for millions of gamers worldwide – the latest iteration looks to take the best of the game on-the-go, packing fan favorites like Verdansk into players' pockets and building on Activision's mobile gaming credentials. Call Of Duty: Warzone Mobile joins the existing Call Of Duty: Mobile, complimenting rather than replacing the older title from 2019 that's become one of the biggest in mobile gaming history, while providing an altogether different gaming experience.

Two Warzone maps are available at launch: the aforementioned epic, Verdansk, for Battle Royale, along with Rebirth Island, a map used in the new Mobile Royale mode. In non-Warzone multiplayer, fans can expect to find classic maps like Shipment, Scrapyard, Shoot House and more, with Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Domination and Kill Confirmed play modes.

Thanks to a cross-progression system, players who game on multiple platforms can carry between them, with most weapons and items able to be shared between them. Players who invest in Battle Pass can even use any specially unlocked perks between their different platforms.

iPhone and iPad users will be able to take advantage of 'Peak Graphics', an enhanced graphic fidelity mode that renders the game in 2K resolution with improved textures and lighting effects (this is, however, limited to iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max and M1 and above iPad users).

Want double XP? Activision has teamed up with mobile controller manufacturer Backbone to offer a Double XP token to users of its latest second-generation mobile controller.
