Monday, April 8, will be a dark day—literally—thanks to the total solar eclipse that will be visible to a swatch of the United States. For people who live in an area that will have good visibility or are traveling to such a place, there are celebrations planned to enjoy. And while not everyone in the country will have ideal viewing, there are still opportunities to celebrate nationwide thanks to some of our favorite fast-food chains and food brands. Now, Burger King has a deal for free Whoppers to celebrate the eclipse.
How to Get a Free Whopper From Burger King
On April 8, Burger King is serving buy-one-get-one (BOGO) Whoppers. To get the deal, you do have to be a Royal Perks member. Luckily, it’s easy to sign up if you aren’t already a member by downloading the Burger King app or by visiting its website.

Once you’re signed up, you can text the keyword “ECLIPSE” to the number 251251* any time on April 8 to claim your BOGO Whopper offer. To redeem, go to the “Offers” tab of the app or the BK website and activate the offer before placing your order.
While you must claim the offer on April 8, the good news is you don’t have to use it immediately. The offer is valid April 8-15, so you have a whole week to find the perfect time (and person) to share the deal with.
While you can’t combine this offer with any other offers, it is a great time to try some of Burger King’s newest items. In early March, Burger King released Fiery Buffalo Royal Crispy Wraps and Fiery Nuggets to spice things up as well as a sweet Oreo sundae to cool things back down. Here’s hoping there are more new items and hot deals to come.
