Bryce Dallas Howard’s Latest Red Carpet Look Was Under $500!

Bryce Dallas Howard wore an off-the-rack gown, again.

The actress attended the 2nd Annual Moët Moment Film Festival and Kick Off of Golden Globes Week in a dress you can buy online. Now. And the best part is, it’s not totally unrealistically priced (well, maybe a little).

From the brand Alexis, the Evie dress is made of maroon lace and has black tonal piping and a high neck. “Contrasting crocheted trim traces the neckline and ruffled cutout shoulders,” says the product description. The dress is mostly lined, except for the sheer yoke and bottom half of the skirt. A solid black strip separates the lined part of the skirt from the sheer section, but on the website that strip is also sheer. That is the only difference between the dress Howard wore and the one on the “rack.” It’s possible she had the strip sealed up.

This isn’t the first time Howard has proven to be so relatable on the red carpet. She wore a $240 Grecian-style chiffon maxi dress from Topshop to this year’s Critics’ Choice Awards and a lace-trimmed Jenny Packham to last year’s Golden Globes.

“I go online and fill up a bunch of shopping bags,” the Jurassic World actress told Vogue of how she finds her red carpet looks. She eventually purchases something, and, voilà, ends up with a stunning ensemble no one would ever guess resulted from online browsing.

Howard admitted she has some help — we all know online shopping can get a bit overwhelming. “[I] work with someone who sends me a million links a day!” she said, referring to all the dresses, shoes, and bags she’s found on sites like Forward by Elyse Walker, Net-a-Porter, and Shopbop, according to Vogue.
