It’s a rare pleasure when a celebrity dons something on the red carpet that a “normal” person could feasibly wear, so when we see a famous face in a dress from a regular retailer we get pretty excited. That’s why when we found out that Bryce Dallas Howard’s Critics Choice Awards dress was purchased at the mall — from Topshop, no less — we kind of freaked out.
Bryce — who has worn an off-the-rack dress on more than one occasion — told Entertainment Tonight that the mustard yellow chiffon maxi dress was an easy pick for the Sunday night awards show. “It’s great. It’s comfortable,” she said, “It’s flowy, which is good for this time of year — the holiday season.”
Bryce sparkled in jewelry by Irene Neuwirth, completing her fabulously festive ensemble.
But back to that gorgeous frock: It retailed for $240 at Topshop and Nordstrom, but it’s currently sold out — boohoo!
