Brooke Shields Just Hinted She’s Launching Her Own Product Line This Summer

At the SHE Media Co-Lab Whole Life Health SXSW panel, Brooke Shields hinted at releasing her very own line of products this summer. While Shields joined Prospect Farms in 2022 as chief brand officer, she hasn’t quite ventured into the beauty world until now.

Although Shields said she can’t reveal what products she’s releasing quite yet, she gave us a good idea of what to expect. “It’s coming this summer, but it was really about tapping into the community and finding what their needs are,” she told SHE Media CEO Samantha Skey about the next evolution of her Beginning Is Now platform. “What happens after 40? Thinning hair, scalp health, loss of collagen, all these things that happen to our bodies and addressing that and then going to the experts and saying, what proprietary formulas can we find?”

Shields founded Beginning is Now, a global community of women over 40, and this upcoming product line shares much of the same ethos. By empowering women over 40, Shields hopes they learn to live their fullest lives on their own terms.

While celebrity beauty brands have become increasingly common, Shields takes pride in having a hands-on approach when it comes to her upcoming line, rather than just blindly endorsing it. “Product innovation is not just me slapping my face on something and saying, ‘Buy this, it’s gonna help you’,” she said. With so many famous figures attached to beauty products, it’s refreshing to know Shields plans on playing a big part in creating hers.

As an advocate for women, Shields’ line aims to address the concerns of women over 40 directly, and fill the white space of the beauty market that doesn’t meet their needs currently. While she’s struggled with these things first hand, Shields found that she doesn’t have extensive knowledge about the products she wants to create, so she looked towards her team of experts to fill the gaps.

“I know what I’m good at. I understand what my brand is. And my brand is just a conduit. You know, if you’re a famous person or a recognizable person, you have to find out what that really means and where that value is,” she said. Assembling the right team was a huge part of Shields’ plan to perfect her products. From finding her CEO to product developers and marketers, Shields emphasized how she didn’t take that part of the process lightly.

Although we’re not exactly sure what’s to come of this new beauty line, we’re excited to learn more this summer. If there’s one thing that’s for sure, it’s that Brooke Shields’ hair is always on point. So we’ll definitely be tuning in.
