Brittany Mahomes Criticized for Kim Kardashian Collab Amid Taylor Swift Friendship

Brittany Mahomes is causing eyebrows to raise after appearing in a new ad for Kim Kardashian's brand SKIMS, despite her new friendship with pop star Taylor Swift.

Mahomes, 28, was featured in the new SKIMS campaign along with her husband, Patrick Mahomes and their two small children, Sterling, 2, and Bronze, 11 months. But some fans couldn't help but notice the strange colliding of worlds, as Mahomes has recently become a close friend to Swift amid the singer's romance with Travis Kelce.

In case you need a refresher, Swift and Kardashian have a complicated history, mainly because of the reality star's ex-husband Kanye West, who was at odds with the pop star over several years, starting with his rude interruption at the 2009 VMAs.

The bad blood seemed to get worse with the release of the rapper's 2016 track "Famous," in which he made several digs at Swift, including the controversial lyrics, "I made that bitch famous."

Kardashian, 43, became involved after she defended her then-husband over Swift's criticism of the derogatory lyrics, claiming in a heated Twitter debate that the "Anti-Hero" singer knew about the lyrics beforehand and had allegedly approved it.

Now, years later, Swift's new BFF is partnering with The Kardashians star, sharing the photos from the SKIMS campaign to Instagram just days after she posted some girls night pics with Swift.

"oh… the partnership is questionable," one user wrote in the comments of Mahomes' Instagram post, as another person claimed they were, "Really disappointed in this."

"Do you know what the owner of this brand did to your friend??? Pls stop," another comment read.

Even Barstool Sports owner Dave Portnoy had a strong reaction to the collaboration, taking to his Instagram Story to write, "F--k that traitorous piece of shit Brittany Mahomes." He also shared a paparazzi photo of Mahomes out with Swift during one of her girl's nights, with an X drawn over the retired soccer player.

Some could say that it has been a long time since Swift's feud with Kardashian, who has already publicly admitted that she's over all of the past drama. She has also since parted ways with West, 46, whom she filed to divorce in 2021.

For Swifties though, we know they bury hatchets but keep maps of where they put them, so it's not so easy to forget the past.

"Even though we know @taylorswift has moved on, can’t help but feel the need to protect her. Have to admit, this seems weird…." another user wrote on Instagram.
