Brian Head Resort Has Had Their Longest Season in Almost 60 Years

Brian Head Resort, southern Utah's premier ski resort, concluded its 2023/24 season on Sunday, May 12, chalking up 174 rideable days—the resort's longest season in 59 years of operation.

They had big celebration on closing weekend. This resort has the highest base elevation in Utah at 9’600 feet and invested more than $500,000 in cutting-edge snowmaking equipment this past season, including a new SnowCat PistenBully 400 Groomer. Early snowmaking efforts combined with a high elevation that provides colder temperatures helped preserve the snow and ensure a consistent base throughout the season.

“We're very grateful for our team of passionate employees; without them, we wouldn't have been able to extend skiing so late into the year and celebrate our longest season ever,” notes Amber Palmer, marketing manager at Brian Head Resort. "From massive investments in snowmaking to $19 lift tickets and providing free skiing to kids 12 and under, we strive to give everyone the freedom to ski."

2023-24 Highlights

  • Tickets for the 23/24 season were offered for as low as $19, while kids 12 and under skied free all season long.

  • The resort received nearly 26-feet of snow this season and held a 53-inch base until closing day.
