Brave Officer Gives CPR to a Snake He Found in Contaminated Water

If you're a major animal lover, there's probably not much that you wouldn't do to save an injured animal...but would that include giving CPR to a snake? @Daily Mail shared a video on Friday, October 27th of an officer doing just that, and you've got to respect the guy for it!

The caption says that the officer found the snake in contaminated water and decided to help it. It shows the man putting water on the snake, maybe to help revive it. He then starts breathing deeply into the snake's mouth. The next thing you know, the snake is breathing on its own! The men seem to be cheering that the snake survived.

If there's one thing I'm not a fan of, it's snakes. I don't like the way they feel, the way they look, and would never even consider getting a snake as a pet. They make my skin crawl! So the last thing I would do is try to give CPR to one. This man is a hero!

@Daily Mail commenters were impressed with the video. @.npc306 pointed out, "Bro his snake friends will never believe what happened"! @Lalo said, "Thought he was making a balloon animal LOL!" @Ben Mobley shared, "That, unfortunately, is the look of a snake whose entire respiratory system just exploded, and now is suffering." @BULLET ANT made me laugh with, "Bro rizzed it up".

I was curious about Ben's comment, and turns out, he was right. thehealthsite.com shared information after this video was released and they gave a couple of reasons that you shouldn't try this at home including, "Another reason why you should never give CPR to a snake is that they have a very fragile respiratory system". The officer had the best intentions, but may have caused more harm than good, unfortunately.
