Billy Butcher and the Boys are coming back this summer, as Amazon Prime has revealed the release date for the show’s fourth season. The Boys season 4 will start streaming on June 13 and, like the previous season, will have its first three episodes drop on the same day.

Subsequent episodes will be aired weekly, with the finale on July 18. The announcement was accompanied by a new poster, showing Homelander and Victoria Neuman together. This follows the first teaser which showed Homelander aligning himself with Neuman’s run to become the Vice President.

The Boys Season 4 will pick up after the events of Gen V’s finale, which saw Butcher discovering the remains of The Woods, the experimental clinic associated with Godolkin University. The Woods was developing a virus to eliminate all supes, which will be an important element leading into The Boys. Likewise, showrunner Eric Kripke has confirmed that The Boys season 4 will pass the baton to Gen V season 2.

Beyond the main cast, the new season will also add Jeffrey Dean Morgan in a mystery role, the glimpses of which can be seen in the teaser. Valorie Curry and Susan Heyward join the cast as Firecracker and Sister Sage.

Here is the official synopsis for The Boys Season 4:

The world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power. Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son as well as his job as The Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.
