Bob Saget's Widow Shares Stepdaughters' Feelings on Her Moving On

Bob Saget's widow Kelly Rizzo is open to the possibility of finding love again, nearly two years since the Full House star's death.
While speaking with Billy Bush for Extra, the host asked Rizzo, "Can you accept a date if someone were to ask you out?" Rizzo shared, "I'm open to it, yes."
She opened up to Bush about where she's currently at in her grieving process, noting, "I'm still just coming from a place of gratitude. Just being so grateful for the time I had with Bob."
Rizzo added, "When he left a mark on this world like he did and left an incredible legacy that's really all you can hope for out of life and he accomplished that and he did that."
She also learned that certain heavy emotions that come with grieving are normal, such as survivor's guilt. "You feel guilty if you have happy moments or if you're not feeling sad all the time. You feel guilty about that, but then I learned that's very normal," she said. "Now that enough time has passed, even his girls are always like... ‘That's silly. Heavenly Bob wants you to be happy.’ Earthly Bob would've been like... ‘Not too happy.'"
Rizzo joined the cast of Special Forces: World's Toughest Test for season 2, where she and other celebrities such as Brian Austin Green and JoJo Siwa were put to the test with grueling military training.
When asked by Bush why she'd sign up for a reality series like this, she explained her decision."When you go through something like the loss of a loved one, you don't feel like you're that strong because you're in it, [so] you don't really have that perspective," she said. "But then when everyone is telling you, 'You have this incredible strength,' you're like, 'Alright, let's put this to the test.'"
Saget died on January 9 after suffering head trauma. In the aftermath of his death, the comedian's family shared in a statement, "In the weeks since Bob's passing, we have been overwhelmed with the incredible outpouring of love from Bob's fans, which has been a great comfort to us and for which we are eternally grateful. Now that we have the final conclusions from the authorities' investigation, we felt it only proper that the fans hear those conclusions directly from us."
His family further noted that the authorities ruled that the late celebrity "accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep."
"As we continue to mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world," the statement concluded, "and the lessons he taught us all: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter."
