Though it's been nearly two years since Bob Saget died, his Full House family members are still pausing to glance at his texts.

Several castmembers opened up about their late colleague during a panel at 90s Con this past weekend in Tampa, Florida, where Candace Cameron BureJodie Sweetin, Dave Coulier, Andrea BarberScott Weinger and the series' executive producer Jeff Franklin were in attendance.

While chatting in front of a room full of fans, in compliance with SAG-AFTRA strike guidelines, according to The Messenger, the cast and crew in attendance reflected on their relationship with the comedian, where Coulier revealed that he first befriended Saget years before they were on the hit sitcom.

At 18 years old, the stand-up was doing a set in a Detroit dive bar when Saget took the stage. "It was just amazing," he recalled. "And I was like, 'I want to be as good as that guy someday,' so Bob [wrote his number on a napkin and said], 'Call me when you get to L.A.,'" he shared on Saturday, Sept. 16.

Six months later Coulier got to town, and Saget immediately invited him over to his home. "I stayed on his couch for two weeks 'cause I didn't have an apartment, and then art imitated life," he added. "So we knew each other way before the show. It was an amazing friendship."

In fact, Saget texted him so often that he's still making his way through them all. "I'm still opening texts that he sent me, that's how many he sent me."

Sweetin then revealed, "He would always sign all of his texts, 'By the way, it's Bob.' Like he would send a separate text that said, 'By the way, it's Bob.' [It became] a running joke."

Saget passed away at the age of 65 in January 2022. As was reported in the weeks after his passing, the comedian's cause of death was head trauma.

Saget's family shared the news with fans, noting in a statement to E! News, "In the weeks since Bob's passing, we have been overwhelmed with the incredible outpouring of love from Bob's fans, which has been a great comfort to us and for which we are eternally grateful. Now that we have the final conclusions from the authorities' investigation, we felt it only proper that the fans hear those conclusions directly from us."

His family continued that the authorities ruled that Saget "accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep."

"As we continue to mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world," the statement concluded, "and the lessons he taught us all: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter."
