The Bistro, located on The Blufftop at Rocheport, will shift its focus later this month from regular dinner service and Sunday brunch to events only.

The change will take place beginning May 20, according to an announcement last week.

"This is an effort to accommodate an increase in private event inquiries for the space and manage our guests’ expectations," the restaurant's announcement said.

Part of the Les Bourgeois Vineyards household, The Bistro's current menu sits at the meeting place of Midwestern, Southern and French peasant cooking and reflects the venue's unique location overlooking the Missouri River. Developed by lead chefs John and Emilee Klingele, the current range of offerings includes everything from stuffed peppers to Bavette steak and prime rib.

"We love bringing people together and hosting experiences big and small," the announcement continues. "It is with this core belief in making memories, that we have decided to transition to a platform that will provide more flexibility than our current daily operations."

The space still will hold some public-facing events, including "Rewards Dinners, Chef Pop Ups, and Farm to Table Events," the announcement said.
