Birkenstock’s New 1774 Collection Is Inspired by Old School New York

Birkenstock is traveling back in time to when New York was the epicenter of experimentation for its 1774 collection. Inspired by the city in the 1970s and '80s, the Spring/Summer 2024 line would've undoubtedly lined the floors of artists as the functional designs arrive in a rich color palette, effortlessly marrying practicality with creativity.

The collection is comprised of the classic Birkenstock Boston clog and the new 222 West, which combines the Arizona two-strap sandal and aforementioned Boston. The expertly crafted shoes are painted in a decadent "Carafe," verdant "Moss Green," a glowing "Kurkuma," alongside a timeless black shade. A matching buckle results in a seamless and sophisticated aesthetic. Joining the Boston and 222 West designs are the Arizona, Florida, Milano and Tokio, which are outfitted in supple Berlin leather and dipped in suede iterations of the core colorways.
