Get a bird’s eye view of the new Bucktown Bird’s Nest Learning Pavilion
JEFFERSON PARISH, La. (WGNO) — Jefferson Parish leaders cut the ribbon on a new learning pavilion in Bucktown on Wednesday, April 3.
Parish officials said the Bird’s Nest Learning Pavilion offers 700 square feet of space for people to view the Bucktown marsh and boardwalk while learning about the parish’s ecosystem.
They said signs are placed for visitors to learn more about the area’s trees, birds and shoreline.

Parish officials said the pavilion also “features a curved staircase, ADA lift access, shade from metal leaves, lighting, and a 360-degree view of the lakefront.”
Jefferson Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng, Councilman Hans J. Liljeberg, Councilwoman Jennifer Van Vrancken and other parish officials attended the ceremony.
