Best Combat Pals In Palworld

Palworld flying dragon

There are over 100 Pals – fun little creatures akin to Pokémon – in Palworld, and there are plenty of choices to bulk out your team with. From the adorable and cuddly to the cool and powerful, every Pal has its own strengths and weaknesses, and thus a place on the team.

Palworld has nine different types, so we’ve gone through and picked out the best and strongest Pal of each type. Fill your team with these Pals and you’ll be able to take on absolutely any challenge the game throws your way.

Jormuntide is a leviathan-like Pal that is easily one of the best Water-type Pals in Palworld. At higher levels it’s an absolute powerhouse, with moves like Hydro Laser that will utterly destroy any Fire-type Pal you come across.

Best Electric Pal – Orserk

Orserk gets the benefit of being both a Dragon and an Electric-type Pal, and while it’s far from the strongest Dragon-type Pal in the game, it excels in its Electric-type mastery. Moves like Tri-Lightning and Lightning Bolt provide huge damage output for different scenarios, making it a very versatile and powerful ally.

Best Ground Pal – Anubis

When talking about Ground-type Pals, there’s really no substitute for Anubis. It was included in a bunch of marketing prior to launch, and it’s easy to see why: it’s got great stats and a powerful set of moves, making it a must-have for any team.

Best Grass Pal – Lyleen

If you want healing, Lyleen is the way to go.
Pocketpair

Pocketpair

If you want access to strong Grass-type moves and the ability to heal yourself anywhere you like, Lyleen is the way to go. It’s one of very few Pals able to heal you in the field, so if there’s one Pal from this list that you include on your team, make sure it’s Lyleen.

Best Fire Pal – Bushi

Bushi is first encountered as a boss, which should tell you that it’s a good Pal to put on your team right from the get-go. It’s a strong Fire-type Pal in its own right, but it also gets access to a wide range of moves, including Ice, Electric, and Grass-type moves, making it very versatile and useful.

Best Ice Pal – Frostallion

Ice Pals are actually a little bit better than in some other creature catching games, and the “legendary” Frostallion is better than most. Sure, it’s got access to very powerful moves, but it’s also a very good mount, letting you soar through the skies on the back of an icy pegasus.

Best Dragon Pal – Jetragon

Jetragon is fast and strong.
Pocketpair

Pocketpair

Jetragon is only available to catch at Level 50, and has some serious speed behind its diamond wings, being the fastest mount in the Palworld. It’s one of the strongest Pals in the game, too, with ridiculously strong Dragon-type attacks at its disposal.

Best Dark Pal – Shadowbeak

When the strongest boss in Palworld has a Pal as his ace, you’d best be paying attention to it. Shadowbeak is a powerful enemy, and an even more powerful ally, with strong AoE attacks that make it a breeze to take down large groups of enemies.

Best Neutral Pal – Paladius

Neutral Pals are a bit difficult to use, with no type advantages over any other type and very few strong Pals in the type. Paladius is one of the few exceptions, being a fast mount, and with its strong, diverse moveset, it’s worth adding to your team.
