palworld-player-count

Palworld released into early access last month, and almost immediately took the world by storm. Millions of players took to the game, dubbed “Pokémon with guns” by fans, making it one of the most-played games on Steam and the biggest third-party game launch on Xbox Game Pass to date.

The game is already packed with plenty of content, but being an early access game, there’s plenty more to come. Some key features, additions, and a lot of polish are still on the way, and in the coming weeks, months, and years, developer Pocketpair plans to do all of that and more.

Pocketpair says that it expects Palworld to be in early access for about a year, but even after that, the nature of the game means there’s likely to be many more updates.

Here’s everything you need to know about Palworld’s roadmap, including all known feature additions and content updates coming in the future.

Palworld: New Features Roadmap

Pocketpair plans to add a number of new features before the game reaches its full release state, some of which are smaller, more functional additions and some of which are much larger game changers. Among the bigger additions are PVP, allowing players to compete against each other, and a Pal Arena, which is where players will be able to send their Pals out to battle against each other.

In terms of co-op content, one of the most requested features is Pal Trading, and Pocketpair has confirmed that it’s very much in the works. Raid bosses, new islands to explore, new Pals, and so much more is in the works, too, so players are in for a great few months and years ahead.

Here’s the full list of every feature confirmed to be coming to Palworld:

  • PVP mode

  • PVP Pal Arena

  • End-game PVE Raid Bosses

  • Pal Trading

  • Steam-Xbox crossplay

  • Server transfers and migrations

  • New islands, Pals, bosses, and technologies

Palworld: Fixes And Improvements Roadmap

Of course, it’s not just new features that are in need in Palworld, there are a few things that still need to be fixed and adjusted in the preferably near future. As with its feature updates, there aren’t any specific dates attached to any of these, but fixes are said to be higher in the priority list than new features, so we can probably expect those sooner rather than later.

Here’s what Pocketpair plans on fixing in Palworld:

  • Xbox feature improvements

  • Key configuration improvements

  • Pal AI and pathing improvements

  • Building system updates
